Since its inception in 1990, Brisbane Pride has been at the forefront of celebrating and fostering queer culture in Queensland. With a rich history spanning 35 years, Brisbane Pride has grown to become Queensland’s premier organisation for LGBTIQ+ events and the third largest in Australia.
A Legacy of Pride and Progress
Each June, we celebrate our community with the Annual Queens Ball, the oldest continuously running LGBTIQ+ event in the world. In September, the Brisbane Pride Festival lights up the city, drawing thousands of attendees over four weeks of vibrant celebrations.
Advocacy and Community Enagement
Beyond the festivities, Brisbane Pride plays a crucial role in advocacy, bridging the gap between the LGBTIQ+ community and governmental bodies.
