Funding for LGBTIQA+ mental health initiatives

The Kal Collins Memorial Fund (KCMF) was established in 2012 by Brisbane Pride Festival to increase awareness of mental illness and suicide prevention in the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Asexual and other gender diverse (LGBTIQA+) communities.

The fund is in memory of a much loved member of our community Kal Collins, who passed away in 2011.

Proceeds from Brisbane Pride Festival activities and events, including Fair Day and Queen’s Ball contribute to the grant programfunding.

Through the Kal Collins Memorial Fund Grants (KCMFG), Brisbane Pride funds community groups, front line health providers and other organisations who actively work toward building social connectedness, and improving the mental health and resilience of our communities.

Grants are open for application in two rounds each year with a maximum of $2,500 per grant.
